授業のねらい
カリキュラム・ポリシー教育目的:専門職資格取得を目指す専門キャリアアップ（APQ）教育の実践。
ディプロマ・ポリシー教育目的:(1）豊かな人間形成における幅広い教養とコミュニケーション能力を身につけること。
In this course students will continue the pattern of study followed in ＰＡＬ（ＴＯＥＩＣ英語）��. Students will practice English reading, listening, vocabulary and grammar used in daily life, travel and in basic job activities; to help them improve their TOEIC scores.
到達目標
Students will:
1. develop receptive language skills for daily life, travel and basic job activities
2. become familiar with the TOEIC reading and listening question formats and with test-taking strategies
3. learn TOEIC related vocabulary
4. take a 100 item mini TOEIC test

1週目 Listening: Photographs / Vocabulary: Verb Prefixes
2週目 Reading: Incomplete Sentences (Infinitive and gerund verbs) / Grammar: Word forms
3週目 Reading: Incomplete Sentences (Dependent prepositions) / Grammar: Tenses
4週目 Listening: Question & Responses (Indirect answers) / Vocabulary Test 1 (Verb Prefixes)
5週目 Listening: Question & Responses (Intonation in questions) / Vocabulary: Money Matters (Introduction to vocabulary)
6週目 Reading: Incomplete Texts (Connecting content words) / Vocabulary: Money Matters (Vocabulary review)
7週目 Reading: Incomplete Texts (Pronouns and possessive forms) / Vocabulary Test 2 (Money Matters)
8週目 Listening: Short Conversations (Expressing opinions) / Vocabulary: Job Advertising (Introduction to vocabulary)
9週目 Listening: Short Conversations (Sound linking in negative sentences) / Vocabulary: Job Advertising (Vocabulary review)
10週目 Reading: Comprehension (Main idea and inference questions) / Vocabulary Test 3 (Job Advertising)
11週目 Reading Comprehension (Connecting information in several texts) / Vocabulary: Travel (Introduction to vocabulary)
12週目 Listening: Short Talks (Voice mails and recorded messages) / Vocabulary: Travel (Vocabulary review)
13週目 Listening: Short Talks (Listening for specific details) / Vocabulary Test 4 (Travel)
14週目 Revision of test items, vocabulary and test-taking strategies
15週目 Mini TOEIC Test (50 listening and 50 reading questions) /Reading: Incomplete Sentences (Modifiers)
16週目 Review, Test return and feedback, Conclusion

(1) Review work covered in textbook every week.
(2) Review phrases and vocabulary learnt that week.
(3) Study for vocabulary tests.
(4) Attend class often and participate in the class.
成績評価の方法・基準
TOEIC Vocabulary tests: 40%
TOEIC-based tests: 20%
Classroom-based activities: 40%

三分の二以上の出席率が必要。
履修上の留意点
A grade of B plus or higher in 英会話・作文�� is a pre-requisite for this course. The language medium for this course will be English.
Feedback for this course is given by instructors during lesson time, and via Hokkai email and the Moodle system gradebook outside of lesson time.
