- 授業のねらい
- ディプロマ・ポリシー教育目的:
(1）豊かな人間形成における幅広い教養とコミュニケーション能力を身につけること。
This course provides opportunities for learners to develop and combine English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through task-based language learning activities. Students will also learn TOEIC-based vocabulary, grammar and test-taking strategies. - 到達目標
- Students will:
1. read a total of 30,000 English words using graded reader books
2. become familiar with the TOEIC listening and reading question formats and with test-taking strategies
3. learn 273 vocabulary items of the TOEIC Word List (TWL)
4. take three 50-item mini TOEIC tests
5. engage in task-based language learning activities via an online learning management system (LMS).
6. engage in English conversation about a variety of everyday topics. - 授業内容

(The instructors reserve the right to modify the course schedule.) - 準備学修（予習・復習）の具体的な内容及びそれに必要な時間
- (Preparation) Read a graded reader book each week. (90 mins.)
(Review) Review key conversation phrases and vocabulary learned that week. (60 mins.)
(予習) 各ユニットのTOEIC Vocabulary & Phrasesの意味を確認し、音声を聞いて発音練習する。(15分程度)
(復習) テキストで行った練習問題とMini Testを復習。(35分程度)
(課題) テキストとは別に、TOEIC Word List (TWL)の単語を毎週21語ずつ覚え、翌週クイズを行う。 - 成績評価の方法・基準
- Speaking test: 10%
Graded reading: 15%
Task-based language learning activities: 25%
TOEIC Vocabulary: 15%
TOEIC listening, grammar and reading practice: 15%
TOEIC Mini Mock Tests: 20% - 履修上の留意点
- （講義担当者は2名。ニールセン・ブライアン（α）、マクガイヤー洋子（非常勤）（β））
英会話Ⅲの履修条件： 原則として、英会話Iの成績がA以上で、学期末に実施したTOEIC形式のテストで高得点を取得し、出席状況が良好であること。
第3セメスター開講の英会話・作文Ⅰの履修条件：原則として、英会話Ⅲの成績がA以上であること。
なお、理由なく10分以上遅刻は欠席とする。
成績の評価に際しては、全15週のうち、10週以上出席した学生を対象にする。 - 課題に対するフィードバックの方法
- Feedback for this course is given by instructors during lesson time, and via Hokkai email and the Moodle system gradebook outside of lesson time.
