- 授業のねらい
- ディプロマ・ポリシー教育目的:
(1）豊かな人間形成における幅広い教養とコミュニケーション能力を身につけること。
(3）修得した知識および技能により、自ら課題を発見し解決する能力を身につけること。
This course provides opportunities for learners to further develop and combine English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through tasks and small research and presentation projects. Students will also practice TOEIC-based listening strategies. - 到達目標
- Students will:
1. engage in conversation tasks in which they produce targeted language functions
2. practice TOEIC-related listening activities
3. give a small-group PowerPoint presentation in English (Analyzing a TV commercial advertisement)
4. write formal emails for the following purposes: (Complaining about a faulty product and requesting action; Asking for and giving information; and Requesting time off from work) - 授業内容

4週目 Analyzing a TV CM (preparation) / TOEIC Listening (4) / Discussing past experiences 2 (pair and group discussions)

16週目 If for some reason it is not possible to carry out the lesson content up to the 15th week, a make-up lesson will be held.
但し、やむを得ず、15 週目までの授業内容を実施出来なかった場合は、補講授業を行います。
(The instructor reserves the right to modify the course schedule.) - 準備学修（予習・復習）の具体的な内容及びそれに必要な時間
- (1) (Preparation) Learn the grammar and vocabulary in the chapter to be studied in the next class. (60 mins.)
(2) (Preparation) Work on the tasks presented in each class. (30 mins).
(3) (Review) Review conversation topics and vocabulary learnt that week. (30 mins.) - 成績評価の方法・基準
- Email Writing: 20%
Kimatsu listening and conversation test: 10%
Lesson-based activities and participation: 70% - 履修上の留意点
- 英会話・作文Iの単位を修得していることがこのコースの前提条件となります。
なお、理由なく10分以上遅刻は欠席とする。
成績の評価に際しては、全15週のうち、10週以上出席した学生を対象にする。
学生個人所有のPCやスマートフォンを授業中で使用する場合があります(BYOD）。そのため、大学のWIFIに接続できるようにしておくことをお勧めします。 - 課題に対するフィードバックの方法
- Feedback for this course is given by instructors during lesson time, and via Hokkai email and the Moodle system gradebook outside of lesson time.
