- 授業のねらい
- カリキュラム・ポリシー（教育方針/教育目的）:
少人数教育とバイリンガル教育の充実
ディプロマ・ポリシー教育目的:
(1）豊かな人間形成における幅広い教養とコミュニケーション能力を身につけること。
(2）国際社会における生活慣習や環境の相違に基づく多様な価値観や世界観の存在を理解し、国際的視野に立つ異文化コミュニケーション能力を身につけること。
This course provides further opportunities for learners to develop their knowledge of western society customs and culture through a series of English lectures and videos, and by participating in online forum discussions. Opportunities are also provided to develop students’ communication skills via group discussion tasks. - 到達目標
- Students will:
1. practice note-taking while listening to lectures in Japanese and in English.
2. discuss intercultural topics with other students.
3. write 3-paragraph online discussion posts that answer questions related to specific topics covered in the course.
4. research and present written and visual information related to specific topics covered in the course. - 授業内容

16週目 If for some reason it is not possible to carry out the lesson content up to the 15th week, a make-up lesson will be held.
但し、やむを得ず、15 週目までの授業内容を実施出来なかった場合は、補講授業を行います。

- (1) (Review) Write a forum post that answers questions regarding the weekly topic. (60 mins).
(2) (Review) Read lecture notes taken during each class. You will be tested on information in your lecture notes at the end of the semester. (30 mins). - 成績評価の方法・基準
- Online discussion posts: 40%
End-of-term exam: 10%
Classwork and participation: 50% - 履修上の留意点
- This course will be taught in both Japanese and in English.
なお、理由なく5分以上遅刻は欠席とする。
成績の評価に際しては、全15週のうち、10週以上出席した学生を対象にする。 - 課題に対するフィードバックの方法
- Feedback for this course is given by the instructor during lesson time, and via Hokkai email and the Moodle system gradebook outside of lesson time.
