- 授業のねらい
- カリキュラム・ポリシー教育目的:専門職資格取得を目指す専門キャリアアップ(APQ)教育の実践。
ディプロマ・ポリシー教育目的:(1)豊かな人間形成における幅広い教養とコミュニケーション能力を身につけること。
Practice of English reading, listening, vocabulary and grammar used in daily life, travel and in basic job activities; to help students improve their TOEIC scores.
日常生活・旅行・職場における英語のリーディング,リスニング,語彙,文法の練習を行う。 - 到達目標
- Students will:
1. develop receptive language skills for daily life, travel and basic job activities
2. become familiar with the TOEIC reading and listening question formats and with test-taking strategies
3. learn 252 vocabulary items of the TOEIC Word List (TWL)
4. take a 100-item mini TOEIC test

- 1週目 Listening: Photographs / Vocabulary: Adjective prefixes
2週目 Reading: Incomplete Sentences (Language building) / Grammar: Word forms
3週目 Reading: Incomplete Sentences (Test tactics) / Grammar: Tenses
4週目 Listening: Question & Responses (Requests) / TOEIC Vocabulary Test 1
5週目 Listening: Question & Responses (Tag questions) Grammar: Gerunds and infinitives
6週目 Reading: Incomplete Texts (Parts of speech) / Grammar: Auxiliary verbs
7週目 Reading: Incomplete Texts (Suffixes) / Grammar: Subject-verb agreement 1 / TOEIC Vocabulary Test 2
8週目 Listening: Short Conversations (Offers and suggestions) / Grammar: Subject-verb agreement 2
9週目 Listening: Short Conversations (Paraphrasing) / Grammar: Verb forms and tenses 1
10週目 Reading: Comprehension (Specific information questions) / Grammar: Verb forms and tenses 2 / TOEIC Vocabulary Test 3
11週目 Reading Comprehension (Using context to answer questions) / Grammar: Participial forms 1
12週目 Listening: Short Talks (Announcements) / Grammar: Participial forms 2
13週目 Listening: Short Talks (Using content words to predict) / Grammar: Comparatives / TOEIC Vocabulary Test 4
14週目 Revision of test items, vocabulary and test-taking strategies / Grammar: Superlatives
15週目 Mini TOEIC Test (50 listening and 50 reading questions) / Reading: Incomplete Sentences (Conjunctions)
16週目 Review, Test return and feedback, Conclusion

- (1) Review work covered in textbook every week.
(2) Review phrases and vocabulary learnt that week.
(3) Study for vocabulary tests.

- TOEIC Vocabulary tests: 40%
TOEIC-based tests: 20%
Classroom participation and activities: 40%
三分の二以上の出席率が必要。 - 履修上の留意点
- A grade of B plus or higher in 英会話・作文Ⅰ is a pre-requisite for this course. The language medium for this course will be English.

- Feedback for this course is given by instructor during lesson time, and via Hokkai email and the Moodle system gradebook outside of lesson time.
