授業のねらい
ディプロマ・ポリシー教育目的:
(1)豊かな人間形成における幅広い教養とコミュニケーション能力を身につけること。
(3)修得した知識および技能により、自ら課題を発見し解決する能力を身につけること。
This course provides opportunities for learners to further develop and combine English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through tasks and small research and presentation projects. Students will also practice TOEIC-based listening strategies.
到達目標
Students will:
1. engage in conversation tasks in which they produce targeted language functions
2. practice TOEIC-related listening activities
3. give a small-group PowerPoint presentation in English (Analyzing a TV commercial advertisement)
4. write formal emails for the following purposes: (Complaining about a faulty product and requesting action; Asking for and giving information; and Requesting time of work)
5. read a total of 30,000 English words using graded reader books

(1) Read graded readers every week.
(2) Review conversation phrases and vocabulary learnt that week.
(3) Complete homework assignments by their due date.

Presentation: 10%
Graded Reading: 30%
Kimatsu listening and conversation test: 15%
Classwork and participation: 45%

三分の二以上の出席率が必要。
履修上の留意点
A passing grade in 英会話・作文Ⅰ is a pre-requisite for this course.
