- 授業のねらい
- ディプロマ・ポリシー教育目的:
(1）豊かな人間形成における幅広い教養とコミュニケーション能力を身につけること。
This course provides opportunities for learners to develop and combine English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through tasks and via small research and presentation projects. Students will also learn TOEIC-based vocabulary, grammar and test-taking strategies. - 到達目標
- Students will:
1. engage in conversation tasks in which they produce targeted language functions
2. practice TOEIC-related reading and listening activities
3. learn 252 vocabulary items of the TOEIC Word List (TWL)
3. give a small-group PowerPoint presentation in English (Describing a product)
4. write formal emails for the following purposes: (Applying for a part-time job; Booking a hotel in a foreign country; and Canceling and re-scheduling an appointment)
5. read a total of 70,000 English words using graded reader books

- α.ニールセン 担当分の週３講 (1から4で100%)
1 Group presentation: 20%
2 Graded reading: 30%
3 Classroom-based activities: 20%
4 Listening, speaking, email writing tests: 30%
β.原子 担当分の週３講 (5から6で100%)
5 授業内の課題 25%
6 双方向な授業参加によるテキスト読解，質疑応答，発表など 75%
各講義担当者の評価を合算し，2分した素点［(α+β)÷2］により評定
三分の二以上の出席率が必要。 - 履修上の留意点
- 予め次の条件で受講生を限定します．英会話�靴陵�修許可者で， 実際に履修済みは TOEIC Test を受験して、評価が B ＋ 以上です。 履修しなかったとしても，第 2 セメスターに実施した学内 TOEIC Test か個人で受験した TOEIC Test のスコアが， 425 点以上の 2 年次生であること。講義担当者は次の 2 名ですニールセン・ブライアン ( α ) ，原子 智樹 ( β ) 。この条件で履修登録済みの受講生を，任意にＡクラスとＢクラスとに分け，週 6 講を 3 講ずつ 2 日間に分け開講します。週 2 日のうち A クラスは第 1 日に Listening( α ) を，第 2 日に Reading( β ) を，反対に B クラスはその逆順で受講します。
